Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026: Monsieur Chaussure and Bōme support Ruban Rose
A joint initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, Monsieur Chaussure and Bōme are introducing a charity tote supporting the French charity Ruban Rose. The project combines original artwork with a fundraising initiative.
By bringing their communities together, the two brands aim to contribute to the fight against breast cancer. The everyday tote is designed to keep this message visible beyond October.
Ruban Rose: awareness and research funding
Ruban Rose has two main missions: providing information and raising awareness of breast cancer, and supporting research. The charity notably funds projects through the Prix Ruban Rose awards.
Its work continues throughout the year, with October as a key moment for public awareness. It is the beneficiary of this charity edition.
Original artwork by Pauline Landes
French illustrator Pauline Landes created an original illustration specifically for this initiative. Originally from Perpignan, she developed a passion for illustration as a child. She later deepened her knowledge of art history before becoming a full-time graphic designer.
Her artwork gives the tote a distinctive visual identity, combining soft pink and terracotta tones against the bag’s ecru background. The illustration depicts a woman sitting in an armchair with her bag, two items cared for using Bōme products.
A sleeping tiger rests on the back of the armchair, holding an hourglass in its tail. We chose it as a symbol of time brought under control through the regular care of the objects we cherish.
Sac Éthique: production supporting women’s independence
Production has been entrusted to Sac Éthique, a French company working in India with the NGO SSMI. The partnership supports textile work that contributes to women’s independence through employment.
In its account of its social commitment, Sac Éthique also explains that this activity supports the education of their children. Choosing this partner extends the initiative’s social purpose to the production of the tote, alongside the donation to Ruban Rose.
Independently assessed by Clear Fashion
The Bōme × Monsieur Chaussure tote was assessed by Clear Fashion, an independent third party that analyses the impact of textile products. The tote received an excellent score of 92/100.
Its methodology covers four areas: the environment, working conditions, consumer health and animal welfare. Alongside the support for Ruban Rose, this assessment reflects our commitment to full transparency regarding the product and its manufacturing conditions.
How does the donation to Ruban Rose work?
The tote costs €25 including VAT. For every bag sold, €10 is donated to the Ruban Rose charity. The remaining amount is used exclusively to cover the cost of the bag: the initiative is run without any profit motive for either brand.
This edition is limited to 100 bags. If all the totes are sold, the total donation to the charity will reach €1,000.
The Bōme × Monsieur Chaussure tote has been available since 1 October 2026 on the Monsieur Chaussure and Bōme websites. It is also available at the Group’s showroom at 1 rue César Franck, 75015 Paris, France, while stocks last.
