Browse our range of shoe brushes and chamois brushes for dusting, cleaning, applying or polishing. All our brushes are ideal for the care of leather shoes and other leather items. You'll find brushes for leather goods, car upholstery and furniture. Monsieur Chaussure and Bōme brushes are designed to avoid scratching or scuffing the leather of your belongings. They are made in France using traditional methods. The bristles are natural, often boar bristles, to capture all the dust and dirt. They are tested and used daily in our workshop to clean your shoes. Our brushes are available separately to complete your set. There are two brush kits: a leather brush kit and a suede brush kit. The kit is perfect if you're new to the world of cleaning or if you want to renew your brushes.
Brushes for leather
Brushes are used in different ways and for different purposes. They are used in a precise order, as detailed in the different leather care routines. Shoe scrapers are used first in shoe care. They are used to remove dust. The welt brush is only used to nourish the bristle thread with cream wax or sealing grease. Badger brushes are used to apply the correct amount of polish to avoid saturating the leather. Paddle brushes are used to spread the polish evenly over the upper of the shoe. Shine brushes activate the polish paste by rubbing the bristles against the leather. They make shoes shine and protect the leather. Shoe polish is waterproof for shoes that is highly effective against the elements and other external aggressions. Cleaning brushes are available for other applications. Here you'll find cleaning brushes for leather goods, car upholstery and furniture. For example, to clean a leather sofa, we strongly recommend the Bōme Boar Bristle Scraper. Leather brushes for these universes are for cleaning only. The Bōme sofa scraper is the first accessory used to clean a leather sofa.
Suede brushes are used to clean suede footwear. It is advisable to use them on tight suede because of the shoe trees in the shoe. There are only 3 suede brushes: the scraper, the brass brush and the crepe brush. The scraper removes dust and allows you to shampoo with the cleaning spray. The brass brush can be used to polish away hairs that have darkened over the years and revive the suede. The crepe brush can also be used to de-glue the suede.
Brushing for Sneakers
The Sneaker Brush Set consists of two brushes. They have two functions: to remove dust and to clean the whole sneakers. They are made of different materials because they don't work on the same parts. The universal brush is made from hog bristle to avoid damaging the leather of the trainer. Hog bristle is also flexible, so it can get into nooks and crannies where dust tends to get stuck. This is in contrast to the polypropylene horsehair sole brush. Polypropylene bristles are stronger for removing stains embedded in the rubber or leather of the sole. Polypropylene bristles do not scratch the sole, even when rubbed vigorously. The two brushes are part of a complete sneaker care kit.
Chamois in 100% cotton
Monsieur Chaussure and Bōme chamois are soft and thick to make them comfortable to use. They make it easy to apply products without transferring them to your skin. They are all-in-one tools for quick and easy maintenance of your leather. They are the basic care accessory. You'll find them in all leather care and brushing kits. They are used to apply cleaning products such as cleansing milk or cleansing gel. This is the accessory you need to clean your leather. They are also used to apply coloring products such as polishing creams or renovators.
Microfibre towels are used in sneakers, car upholstery and furniture. They are highly absorbent due to the tight weave of the fibre. This means they absorb shampoo foam quickly. They allow you to remove excess cleaning detergent in a single pass. All the products in these universes are no-rinse, so it’s easy to wipe them off with this towel. They are available in the associated universe kits for easy maintenance.
You also need to look after your cleaning brushes and chamois cloths to ensure they last. Cleaning brushes rub against each other to remove accumulated dirt. Chamois and wiping cloths are machine washable. They can be washed with each other and with tea towels at 30° to prevent color transfer to your clothes. This means they can be used several times before needing to be replaced. When you renew your stock, you can benefit from a discount on the unit price. As explained in the introduction, cleaning brushes and chamois brushes require a great deal of care. For best results, we recommend that you follow the lessons associated with the world of brushes. You'll find advice on use and related products on the product sheets.
