Shoe care: smooth leathers

Smooth leathers are used on the majority of shoes. They can be used on both men's and women's leather shoes.
If you're looking to maintain your city shoes, you can use the products shown. Saphir products for leather shoes are packed in small round metal tins to ensure that the products are well preserved. Saphir shoe polishes contain beeswax.
Two leather cleaners are available: the universal cream and the regenerating soap. The universal cream is the equivalent of Monsieur Chaussure's cleansing milk. It is suitable for street shoes. Unlike the regenerating soap, which is suitable for thick, old leather.
For leather care, there are surfin creams. Surfin creams are cream shoes from Monsieur Chaussure designed to prevent the leather from cracking. The Saphir brand offers a wide range of colors. Nubuck and suede care

Suede shoe care products include cleaners, renovators and waterproofers. The products come in spray form so you can quickly apply them to your shoes. Use them in ventilated rooms and protect your work area.
Each product is compatible with products of the same brand. The products cannot be used alone. Suede shoe accessories must be used. The three essential brushes are available in the Suede Brush Kit. Regular use of the products will maintain the original condition of the suede and reduce stains.
Shoe cleaner remove dirt from the suede bristles. With the right brushes you can shampoo and polish. Use a scraper and a brass brush. With colorless or colored renovators, you can change the color of the patina. At the same time, you can revive the suede by brushing it with the brass brush. After you have cleaned your suede shoes, protect them with a waterproofing spray. Wait a few minutes before putting them back on.

Patina

Saphir's French dyes allow you to change the patina of your shoes. Leather with an original patina can be modified if you wish. Whether for aesthetic reasons or because of stains, leather dyes give your shoes a second life.

The first step in dyeing leather is to strip it. Saphir also offers strippers that are used in shoemaker's workshops.

Fabric softeners

Leather conditioners can be used on all shoes, including suede and nubuck. They can be used if your shoes feel tight.
Discover the Saphir spray softener to relax and stretch your shoes. The product is dermatologically tested and harmless to the skin, so you can apply it directly by hand for maximum precision.

Our tips for using the Saphir brand

Before using any product on leather, it is always a good idea to test it on a small, hidden area. This will allow you to see how your leather reacts.
The Sapphire products follow the same routine as the Monsieur Chaussure products.
Always start by dusting and then cleaning with a shoe cleaner. Once the leather is bare or the nubuck is free of dust, you need to nourish the leather. Choose the right products for your shoes.
Finish off with a shoe polish for smooth leather or a waterproofing spray for nubuck. Certain types of leather do not require additional protection.
